The history of C.S.I. Vocational Centre, founded in 1877, is a history of yeoman service to scores of thousands of young people from the socially and economically backward sections of mankind. The people of Karnataka in general and the citizens of Tumkur in particular, have always looked upon this institution as one given to selfless service irrespective of caste and creed.
